The story
The Model B was a small row-crop tractor that Allis-Chalmers kept in production for around twenty years, making it one of the company's longest-running and best-selling models. More than 125,000 were made.
Its looks were the work of the industrial designer Brooks Stevens. Allis-Chalmers built several special versions for particular jobs, including the Asparagus B, the Potato Special and the IB for industrial work.
Steel wheels were available to bring the price down, but most buyers chose rubber tyres. The B also led to the bigger Model C, and it was eventually followed by the D10.
No Allis-Chalmers Model B listings yet. Dealers and private sellers will be able to list them here soon.
