The story

The Cockshutt 40 was the second tractor the Cockshutt Plow Company made, built from 1949 to 1958. After the medium-sized 30, Cockshutt wanted a heavier machine able to pull four ploughs, and the 40 filled that gap.

It weighed a little over 5,300 lb. In the United States it was sold as the CO-OP E4.

It was later replaced by the Cockshutt 35 and the 560 diesel.

Did you knowAmerican farmers could buy it badged as the CO-OP E4.
