Cockshutt tractors.
Cockshutt started in 1877 as the Brantford Plow Works in Brantford, Ontario, founded by James G. Cockshutt, and grew into a large maker of farm machinery. Its first tractor of its own design, the 30 hp Cockshutt 30, entered production in 1946 and is regarded as the first modern production tractor built in Canada. White Motor bought the company in 1962 and had dropped the Cockshutt name by 1975.
